The back hit of this Shirt is a nod to the lyric “I'm inside, open your eyes. I′m you. Sad but true.” from Metallica’s classic Sad but True. According to Lars Ulrich the song is about different personalities fighting within us to take over.
Although the song was officially released in 1993 the licensing dates to 1991, the year the initial version was recorded. It was slightly faster and considered to be too happy by band and producers.
